Rome, Italy, Feb. 4, 2010 – Among the extremely high numbers of
entries, NoMachine, creator and worldwide provider of NX, the secure
remote access, hosted desktop and application delivery software, has
been chosen as a finalist for the 2010 European IT Excellence Awards in
the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Communications and Mobility
category.
NoMachine has been nominated for this award based on
the solution they provided Schwaebisch Hall, the first German Council
to migrate to Linux. NX eased the transition providing 32 branches, 17
mobile workers and 16 Kindergartens remote access to both Linux and
Windows applications from Linux desktops and thin clients on the
network or directly from the Internet.
The European IT
Excellence Awards are the first pan-European awards which recognise the
crucial role that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Solution
Providers play in the delivery of real world solutions. Split into
three sections, NoMachine is a finalist in the set of awards
exclusively for ISVs. This category is designed for ISVs to show how
they are addressing the need for software solutions that enable
organizations to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
The
contest also recognizes best practices among Solution Provider
Value–Added Resellers (VARs) and Systems Integrators, as well as
Suppliers. These categories have been designed to enable all types and
sizes of companies from the European channel to participate.
Considered
the most prestigious awards event in the European IT calender, seven
ISV awards, seven VAR and System Integrator awards, three awards for
suppliers and a Channel Personality of the year award will be handed
out. The awards recognize business solutions rather than product
features and reward excellence in the development and delivery of real
end-user solutions.
Awards will be presented to the winners on
February 25, 2010 at The Tower, a Guoman Hotel, London. For more
